The Complete Guide to the Phoenix Collection
The South Korean Phoenix Series is a highly popular line of sovereign bullion rounds manufactured by KOMSCO (Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation), the official government-owned mint of South Korea.
First launched in 2020, the series is dedicated to the Bonghwang (the Korean Phoenix), a mythical bird symbolizing immortality, virtue, and supreme authority. Unlike its Western counterpart, which burns and rises from the ashes, the Eastern Bonghwang is an eternal creature representing peace and harmony.
Because KOMSCO pieces are undenominated, they do not feature a currency face value (like the South Korean Won). Instead, they are struck in 1 oz of 99.9% pure silver (.999 fine) with a 40mm diameter and feature a rolling annual design change alongside sophisticated anti-counterfeiting tech.
1oz Silver Bullion
Commemorating legendary tales and mystical powers, the King Arthur collection encapsulates the wondrous stories of King Arthur, Merlin and Morgan le Fay. Each coin struck in bullion quality contains one troy ounce of 999.9 fine silver – Diameter 38.61mm
The 2023 King Arthur featured the effigy of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Subsequent editions feature the effigy of King Chares III.
