Swan Collection

The Australian Swan Series is a sovereign bullion program issued by the Perth Mint, debuting in 2017. The collection focuses on the black swan (Cygnus atratus), a species native to Western Australia that serves as the official icon of the state and the historic minting institution.

A central parameter of the series is its dynamically changing reverse side, which features a completely new illustration and spatial layout of the swan each year. Structurally, the series spans multiple monarchic obverse profiles, transitioning through the Ian Rank-Broadley design, the Jody Clark design (including the late Queen’s historical reign memorial dates), and the modern Dan Thorne effigy of King Charles III.

The program covers multiple precious metal formats, including gold and silver variants in both standard bullion and proof-level finishes.
